Michael Blaustein

Michael Blaustein was born in Maryland and initially pursued acting after moving to New York City for his studies. He studied marketing at Coastal Carolina University, where his classroom antics contributed to his reputation as a performer.

During his time in New York, Blaustein attended an amateur comedy night and developed a passion for stand-up. He began performing in small comedy clubs, gradually building a following through energetic performances and original material.

Blaustein's early entertainment work included commercials for AXE and Sprint. He also moved into film roles, including leading parts in Death of the Dead and Attack of the Alien Jelly Monsters from the Depths of Uranus, also known as Alien Jelly Monsters.

His stand-up career expanded through college performances, tours, and comedy festivals. He has performed at more than 200 colleges worldwide, appeared on the Comedy Central Campus Tour, the College Humor Tour, and the Oddball Comedy Fest, and taken part in Just for Laughs 42 and the New York Comedy Festival.

Blaustein's comedy draws on everyday life, dating, friendships, modern technology, and the quirks of human behavior. His material also includes cultural observations, personal experiences, and social commentary, often finding humor in familiar situations.

His performances are marked by physical comedy, animated expressions, quick-witted observations, and a lively stage presence. His acting and writing experience contribute to routines that combine personal storytelling with structured punchlines.

Blaustein co-hosts the Stiff Socks podcast with Trevor Wallace. The show combines humorous conversations and candid anecdotes, covering subjects ranging from absurd life experiences to broader discussions delivered through a comedic lens.

He has also used digital platforms to reach comedy audiences through viral videos and social media clips. His media work has included developing a Snapchat show with Comedy Central and selling ideas to CBS Radio and other production companies.

Blaustein appeared as a field agent in MTV's Punk'd, including the show's final season with Ashton Kutcher. He also appeared in the fifth season of CBS's Person of Interest and in Spike Lee's feature film The Lucky Guy.

In film, Blaustein co-wrote, co-directed, and co-starred in Up There, released in 2019. His other listed credits include Club Kid, Common Sense Police, Love's a Bitch, and Off-Fairfax.

His stand-up work has included a comedy tour throughout the United States in 2022 and performances for college audiences and corporate events. He has also performed on the same show as comedian Brent Morin.
