Bob Joyce is a singer and religious leader known for leading Household of Faith Church in Benton, Arkansas, and performing gospel music. He has also attracted international attention because of persistent comparisons between his voice and appearance and those of Elvis Presley, a claim he has rejected.

Personal life

Bob Joyce has been married to Willena since 1975. They have three children and several grandchildren.

His family life has remained connected to his ministry. Before organizing Household of Faith Church, Joyce and Willena met weekly with a small group of about seven or eight people, including John Cook and his wife, Marti.

Ordination and Household of Faith Church

Joyce was ordained as a minister on May 25, 1981. He preaches every Sunday and is the only pastor of Household of Faith Church, where he leads sermons and song services.

Before the church had a permanent worship space, Joyce and Willena met with a small group each week. In 2014, Household of Faith began using a business rental space on Salem Road. The congregation moved into a larger area in the same building in 2017, then relocated to 5601 Salt Creek Road in 2019, where the facilities included classrooms and a fellowship hall.

A larger building and adjoining land were purchased in 2024 and prepared for services in 2025. The church began using its location at 8408 Samples Road on August 31, 2025, with seating for more than 250 people. John Cook recorded sermons and music for Household of Faith for several years before retiring and moving away with Marti in mid-2022.

Gospel music and online ministry

Joyce's recorded gospel music includes CDs spanning 1990 to 2022, with digital music also available. Newer albums recorded in professional studios since 2024 have been released through BobJoyce.RoseCityWorks.com. Proceeds from music sales are added to the church's operating funds.

His sermons and song services are recorded at Household of Faith and distributed online. The official YouTube channel, PastorBobJoyce, carries services recorded since August 2022, while John Cook's channel hosts hundreds of authorized videos from 2011 through July 2022. Joyce uses the King James Version of the Bible in his ministry.

The Elvis Presley rumors

Joyce became the subject of an internet theory claiming that he is Elvis Presley living under another identity. The speculation grew around comparisons involving their voices, appearance and mannerisms, particularly after videos of Joyce preaching and singing gospel music circulated online.

Joyce has denied being Elvis Presley and has said that he has never claimed to be anyone other than Bob Joyce. He has described the comparison as a resemblance and emphasized that his ministry is focused on Jesus Christ rather than on himself. A separate rumor that he attended Lisa Marie Presley's funeral arose from a photograph of Andy Childs, not Joyce.

Official accounts and impersonation warnings

Joyce's official website is BobJoyce.org, which has served as the authorized website for him and Household of Faith since 2012. His personally run Facebook account is facebook.com/bob.joyce.75, and the official Facebook group is dedicated to sharing the church's message and supporting his ministry.

Joyce does not send private messages or request payments through direct messages. Accounts using his name on platforms such as TikTok, X, Telegram, Instagram, WhatsApp and other services are not personally run by him. Authorized sermons and music are posted through the official website and designated YouTube channels.
