Brittany Aldean

Brittany Aldean has been married to country singer Jason Aldean since March 21, 2015. Jason was previously married to Jessica Ussery, with whom he shares daughters Keeley and Kendyl, making Brittany their stepmother.

Brittany and Jason have two children together, son Memphis, born in December 2017, and daughter Navy Rome, born in February 2019. Together, they parent four children. Brittany has discussed using a nanny to help care for the children while balancing family life and Jason's touring schedule.

Brittany auditioned for season 11 of American Idol in 2012 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She performed Joss Stone's song "Spoiled" for judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, and Randy Jackson. She advanced to Hollywood but was eliminated before the live audience rounds.

Brittany has received public backlash for comments made on social media. In 2022, musicians including Maren Morris, Cassadee Pope, and Joy Oladokun criticized a post she made about gender-affirming care.

In 2023, she publicly defended Jason Aldean after controversy surrounding his song "Try That in a Small Town," writing that he should not apologize for speaking the truth. She has also described social media as both a way to document family life and a platform where users can post bullying or disrespectful comments.

Brittany was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, attended the University of Alabama, and has lived in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. She and Jason Aldean have made their home in Nashville with their family.

She has spoken about Nashville's music community, landscape, and animals as reasons she enjoys living there. Brittany has also shared emotional reflections about her father, whose health has declined because of dementia.
