Ava Kolker
Ava Kolker is an American actress and singer known for playing Ava Morgenstern on Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World and Olive Rozalski on Sydney to the Max. She began acting at four and has appeared in films including Scary Movie 5, Insidious: The Last Key, and Manifest West.
Early life
Kolker was born in Los Angeles, California, and spent one year living in Florida before returning to California. She has three sisters: Kayla Kolker, Jade Kolker, and Lexy Kolker, who is also an actress and is known for playing Chloe in Freaks.
Kolker began working in entertainment as a child. In addition to acting, she has modeled by walking in fashion runways, performed in musical theatre, and appeared in national commercials, including advertisements for AT&T and Square TV.
2011-2014: Early roles
Kolker made her screen debut at the age of four as a three-year-old girl in the American Horror Story episode “Spooky Little Girl.” She appeared in her first film, Golden Winter, in 2012, playing Marybeth Geitzen.
Her early film roles included Lily in Scary Movie 5, Augie in The Trials of Cate McCall, and Heather in Miss Meadows. She also appeared on television in Dads and Sam & Cat, playing Romy in the episode “#MagicATM.”
2015-present: Breakthrough and current work
Kolker gained wider recognition as Ava Morgenstern, a recurring character on Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World. She received a Young Entertainer Award for the role and a Young Artist Award nomination. Her sister Lexy Kolker also appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., where Lexy played the younger version of Robin Hinton and Ava played the character at age 12.
Kolker later played Olive Rozalski, Sydney’s supportive best friend, on the Disney Channel comedy series Sydney to the Max from 2019 to 2021. Her subsequent screen work included Young Elise Rainier in Insidious: The Last Key, Aeloo in A Fairy’s Game, a voice role in Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs, and Lana Danik in Manifest West. She also appeared as Rivka in How I Met Your Father and as Celeste in the television series Zodiac.
Discography
Kolker began her music career with the single “The Good Ones,” released in 2019. Her 2020 releases included “Eventually” and “When Will It Be Tomorrow,” followed by “Seventeen” and “Who Do You Think You Are” in 2021.
She released “Ahead of Me” and “All to Myself” in 2022 and announced her debut EP, Ballerina, in June 2023. The six-song EP was released on June 23, 2023.
