Steve-O

Steve-O was married to Candy-Jane Tucker from 2002 to 2003 and Brittany McGraw from 2006 to 2008. He became engaged to stylist and set designer Lux Wright in January 2018, and the couple announced their separation in January 2025 while remaining on good terms. They had planned to start an animal sanctuary together. Steve-O has no children and underwent a vasectomy in 2018.

Steve-O entered treatment in March 2008 after an intervention involving several of his Jackass co-stars. He has stated that he has remained sober since March 10, 2008, and marked 17 years of sobriety in March 2025. He has also discussed receiving treatment for sex addiction, including outpatient rehabilitation.

Stephen Gilchrist Glover attended the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College after leaving the University of Miami. The program accepted 33 applicants from approximately 2,000, but Steve-O was not among the 10 graduates selected for the circus. He subsequently worked as a clown at the Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop flea market and performed on Royal Caribbean cruise ships.

Steve-O filmed his own stunts and distributed recordings of his performances. His work attracted the attention of filmmaker Jeff Tremaine, who recruited him for Jackass, which premiered on MTV in 2000. Steve-O became one of the show's principal stunt performers alongside Johnny Knoxville, and the series led to a successful film franchise.

After Jackass, Steve-O co-created and co-hosted Wildboyz with Chris Pontius, which ran for four seasons from 2003 to 2006. He also presented Dr. Steve-O in 2007, competed on the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars in 2009, and hosted the reality game show Killer Karaoke from 2012 to 2013.

His film credits include Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, Jackass 3D, Jackass Forever, and Guest House. He served as a co-producer on Jackass Forever and Jackass 4.5. His stand-up specials include Guilty as Charged and Gnarly, while The Bucket List Tour combines personal stories, comedy, stunts, and previously unseen footage.

Steve-O began regularly uploading to his YouTube channel in 2013 and launched the podcast Steve-O's Wild Ride! in March 2020. The podcast features conversations with entertainers, musicians, and other performers. His digital work has allowed him to continue presenting stunt footage and personal stories outside the traditional Jackass format.

Steve-O has also advocated for animal rights. In 2015, he climbed a construction crane in Los Angeles as a protest against SeaWorld, lit fireworks, and inflated a whale-shaped balloon. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 36 months of probation for the stunt, serving fewer than eight hours. He received PETA's Nanci Alexander Award in 2011 and follows a pescatarian diet.
