Olivia Jade Giannulli was born in Los Angeles to actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli. She grew up alongside her older sister Isabella and an older half-brother, Gianni. She graduated from Marymount High School in Los Angeles in 2018.

Her personal relationships have attracted steady public interest. She had an on-and-off relationship with actor Jacob Elordi before they separated. In 2026, she began dating professional tennis player Taylor Fritz, attending the wedding of tennis player Tommy Paul and Paige Lorenze with him that July.

Giannulli launched her lifestyle YouTube channel in 2014, focusing on makeup tutorials, fashion hauls, and travel vlogs. She created recurring series such as "Blinging on a Budget" to share shopping tips. Her audience expanded rapidly. Both her YouTube and Instagram channels reached more than one million subscribers.

In March 2019, federal prosecutors implicated Giannulli and her family in the nationwide "Varsity Blues" college admissions scheme. Her parents paid $500,000 in bribes to designate Olivia and her sister Isabella as recruits for the University of Southern California crew team. Giannulli had staged photos on an ergometer rowing machine for the application. She was not a competitive rower.

Backlash followed instantly. Critics highlighted an earlier video where she stated she cared more about game days and partying than academics. When the federal indictments became public, Giannulli was vacationing in the Bahamas aboard a yacht owned by Rick Caruso, the chairman of the USC Board of Trustees.
