Olivia Culpo

Olivia Culpo has been married to NFL running back Christian McCaffrey since 2024. They began their relationship in 2019, became engaged in 2023, and married in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, on June 29, 2024.

Culpo and McCaffrey welcomed their daughter, Colette Annalise McCaffrey, in July 2025. Before her relationship with McCaffrey, Culpo dated singer Nick Jonas from 2013 to 2015.

Culpo was born and raised in Cranston, Rhode Island, where she grew up with four siblings. Her parents are Peter and Susan Culpo. She is of Italian descent and has Irish ancestry on her mother's side.

She began studying the cello in second grade and performed with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, the Rhode Island Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble, the Bay View Orchestra, and the Rhode Island All-State Orchestra. She also attended the Brevard Music Center for two summers and performed with the Boston Accompanietta.

Culpo attended St. Mary Academy-Bay View and later enrolled at Boston University.

Culpo entered her first pageant in 2012, winning Miss Rhode Island USA. She then won Miss USA 2012, becoming the first Rhode Island contestant to claim the national title.

On December 19, 2012, Culpo represented the United States at Miss Universe 2012 in Las Vegas and won the title. She became the first American to win Miss Universe since Brook Lee's 1997 victory and the first Rhode Islander to hold the crown. Her national costume was based on the Statue of Liberty, and she succeeded Leila Lopes of Angola.

During her reign, Culpo visited Indonesia, helped crown the winner of Puteri Indonesia 2013, and hosted a United Nations Population Fund discussion about HIV and youth prevention at the U.S. Embassy's cultural center in Jakarta. She later crowned Gabriela Isler of Venezuela as her successor in 2013. Culpo went on to co-host the Miss Universe 2020, Miss Universe 2022, Miss Universe 2023, and Miss Universe 2024 pageants.

Culpo built a career in fashion and beauty after her pageant victories, collaborating with brands including L'Oréal, Kipling, and Uberliss. She appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and shared the cover of the 2020 issue with Jasmine Sanders and Kate Bock.

Her acting credits include The Other Woman, American Satan, I Feel Pretty, Reprisal, The Swing of Things, Venus as a Boy, and Clawfoot. She also played Gretchen in the television series Paradise City and appeared on the reality series Model Squad.

Culpo competed as UFO on the ninth season of The Masked Singer, reaching the quarterfinals. She appeared in The Culpo Sisters and hosted the first season of Netflix's Next Gen Chef. In 2017, she opened a restaurant in Rhode Island with her family.
