Megan Telles is an American journalist and news anchor known for her reporting and presenting at KTLA 5 News in Los Angeles. She has also worked as a television host, local news reporter, and national entertainment correspondent, including on Celebrity Page TV.

Personal life

Megan Telles is married to Cesar Montano, her high school sweetheart. They share an interest in college football and support the USC Trojans.

She is also a mother of one child. Her family life has remained separate from much of her television work, although she has occasionally shared glimpses of it publicly.

From an Army family to broadcast journalism

Telles grew up in a military family because her father served 21 years in the United States Army. Her childhood included time in Wiesbaden, Germany, as well as Fort Rucker, Alabama, and Savannah, Georgia. She has described herself as an “Army Brat” and retained the ability to count to ten in German.

Her interest in news developed during tornado seasons in the Deep South. While her family sheltered in a hallway closet, she listened to the radio and relayed wind speeds to her family. She later pursued communications rather than meteorology, graduating from the University of Southern California in 2011 with a B.A. in Communications and studying through the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Television news and entertainment reporting

Telles began her television career in Las Vegas, where she spent four years hosting and worked at the ABC affiliate KTNV-TV as a local news reporter, anchor, daytime talk-show host, and social media director. Her assignments included early-morning live reports and co-hosting a Billboard Music Awards pre-show special.

In October 2016, she joined ABC10 Sacramento as an anchor for Morning Blend, a weekday morning show airing from 5 to 7 a.m. She later became associated with KTLA 5 News in Los Angeles, reporting and anchoring stories from Southern California.

Telles was also the Las Vegas-based national entertainment correspondent for the syndicated program Celebrity Page TV. The role included red-carpet interviews and conversations with Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, and Lionel Richie. Her television credits also include appearances as a correspondent and host on Celebrity Page.
