Before joining the national program, Gatton worked at WBTV in Charlotte, North Carolina, from 2020 to 2022. She served as a bilingual anchor and special projects reporter, and her investigative and consumer reporting returned more than $250,000 in cash to viewers. From 2017 to 2020, Gatton was a primary anchor and special projects reporter at WICS and Fox in Springfield, Illinois. Gatton previously worked as an anchor and reporter at KPNX, the NBC affiliate serving the Phoenix area. In Oregon, she held anchor and reporting roles at KLSR in Eugene and KPIC in Roseburg, including weekend, morning, evening, breaking-news, and multimedia-journalist assignments.
