Lil Mabu

Lil Mabu began his rap career in 2018 and gained early recognition with "Miss Me" in 2020. His 2022 collaboration with Dusty Locane, "No Snitching," became popular on TikTok and helped expand his audience. His debut mixtape, Double M's, was released on June 30, 2022, with guest appearances from Dusty Locane, Sha EK, Dougie B, DThang and Rah Swish.

He reached a wider audience in 2023 with "Mathematical Disrespect," which became his first major worldwide chart entry and reached the top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100. He followed it with "Rich Scholar" and "At What Cost?" Later that year, he released "Mr. Take Ya Bitch" with Chrisean Rock, which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and "Teach Me How to Drill" with Fivio Foreign.

Lil Mabu attended Collegiate School, a private preparatory school in Manhattan, and graduated in 2023. He described balancing his education with music as demanding, saying that his free time and sleep schedule were heavily affected while he pursued both activities.

In August 2023, he announced that he was going to college. He is described as a business student at Emory University and has recorded music from his dorm room.

Lil Mabu was raised in Manhattan in an affluent family. His education at Collegiate School and his family's property holdings have been cited in discussions about the contrast between his privileged background and the street-oriented themes of his drill music.

He has presented himself as balancing student life with his music career, describing the arrangement as being in school by day and in the streets at night. In April 2024, a gun he was holding discharged while he was filming a music video, nearly injuring him.

Lil Mabu's mixtapes include Double M's, released in 2022, and Young Genius, released on April 5, 2024. Double M's was self-released, while Young Genius was issued through Young Genius Academy.

His notable singles include "Move It," "Demon Time," "King of the World," "Throw" with DD Osama, "Mathematical Disrespect," "Rich Scholar" and "At What Cost?" He has also appeared on NLE Choppa's "Shotta Flow 7" remix and collaborated with artists including Dusty Locane, Chrisean Rock and Fivio Foreign.
