Fivio Foreign

Fivio Foreign has three children. Two are with his former girlfriend Jasmine, and he has a son with another woman.

His mother died from a stroke in 2016. After her death, he lived on the streets or with friends and family members.

Fivio Foreign was born Maxie Lee Ryles III and was raised in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. During his youth, he was sent to Connecticut in the summer through the Fresh Air Fund.

He began rapping as Lite Fivio in 2011. In 2013, he adopted the name Fivio Foreign and formed the music collective 800 Foreign Side with friends.

Fivio Foreign gained broad attention with "Big Drip," a 2019 single that became a defining release of the Brooklyn drill movement. The track earned platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America and later received a remix featuring Lil Baby and Quavo. It appeared on his Pain and Love and 800 B.C. projects.

He released the Pain and Love EP in 2019 through ForeignRecords. The song's popularity grew across streaming platforms and social media, while its music video became one of his most visible early releases.

In 2019, Fivio Foreign signed with RichFish Records, the label owned by New York rapper Mase, in a joint venture with Columbia Records. The agreement followed the success of "Big Drip" and led to his major-label project 800 B.C.

He also performed alongside Juice WRLD at the 2019 Rolling Loud Festival in New York. In 2020, he was selected for XXL's Freshman Class and appeared on songs including Nas's "Spicy," Tory Lanez's "K Lo K," French Montana's "That's a Fact (Remix)," and King Von's "I Am What I Am."

Fivio Foreign earned his first Billboard Hot 100 entries in 2020 through guest appearances on Drake's "Demons" and Lil Tjay's "Zoo York," the latter also featuring Pop Smoke.

In 2021, he appeared with Playboi Carti on Kanye West's "Off the Grid," from West's album Donda. The song peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became Fivio Foreign's highest-charting song. He also appeared on Donda tracks including "Ok Ok" with Lil Yachty and Rooga.

Fivio Foreign released "City of Gods," featuring Kanye West and Alicia Keys, as the lead single from his debut studio album, B.I.B.L.E. The song was dedicated to his late friend T-Dott Woo. The album followed in April 2022 and debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200.

The project included appearances by A$AP Rocky, Polo G, Lil Yachty, Quavo, DJ Khaled, Ne-Yo, Queen Naija, and Lil Tjay. Later releases included "Paris to Tokyo" with The Kid LAROI and "Teach Me How to Drill" with Lil Mabu. "City of Gods" also received nominations at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards, including Impact Track.

Fivio Foreign has acting credits in The King of Staten Island and Boogie, both released in 2020 and 2021 respectively. He is also credited in Doggmen.

In 2020, he launched the Foreignside Foundation, a nonprofit organization intended to provide resources and programs for at-risk youth, homeless people, current and former gang-affiliated individuals, and incarcerated people.
