Kevin Perez was born on April 20, 2003, in New York City. He grew up in the Bronx, an environment he described as dangerous, and is of Puerto Rican and Dominican heritage. He was drawn to Brooklyn drill and the music of Chicago rapper King Von during his teenage years.

He released The D.O.A. Tape on November 5, 2021. On March 20, 2025, Perez was convicted of attempted murder and racketeering charges and acquitted of Hernandez's murder after the jury accepted his self-defense claim. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison in December 2025.
