Lemuel Plummer is an American director and film producer known for founding Zeus Network and producing reality series including Baddies and Joseline's Cabaret. He began working in television production before building a subscription streaming platform focused on influencer-driven and celebrity-oriented programming.

Personal life

Plummer was previously married to Janeisha John, a television host for Zeus Network who was named Miss US Virgin Islands Universe in 2010. Their relationship was kept largely private.

In November 2025, Plummer and reality television personality Scotlynd Ryan announced that they were expecting their first child together, a daughter.

From television production to L. Plummer Media

Plummer grew up in Detroit in a family involved in television production. His parents owned three television stations, and his siblings also worked in the family business. After high school, he attended Full Sail University before moving to Los Angeles to pursue television production.

At age 20, Plummer secured a first-look production deal with BET Networks. He worked as a producer on The Mo'Nique Show and The Family Crews, and he also worked on the production staff of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in 2007 and 2008.

He later founded L. Plummer Media. In 2013, he created Preachers of L.A., which was sold to Oxygen and ran for two seasons. The series led to regional spin-offs including Preachers of Detroit and Preachers of Atlanta. His other production work from this period included Vindicated, The Sheards, and Living with Funny.

Founding Zeus Network

Plummer launched Zeus Network in 2018 as a subscription video-on-demand service. He co-founded the platform with DeStorm Power, King Bach, and Amanda Cerny, and became its president and chief executive officer. The network was created to give viewers original programming centered on influencers, entertainers, and reality personalities.

Early Zeus programs included The Real Blac Chyna, One Mo' Chance, Tokyo Toni's Finding Love ASAP!, and Joseline's Cabaret. Baddies, co-produced with Natalie Nunn, became one of the platform's signature programs after its 2021 premiere and expanded into regional editions and related Bad Boys projects.

Plummer has also served as an executive producer on Zeus programming, including Smile: LA, Baddies Africa, Two Ways with Erica Mena, Joseline's Cabaret: Miami, and Tokyo Toni's Finding Love ASAP!. Zeus allows viewers to comment on episodes within the platform, an engagement feature Plummer highlighted as part of its approach to streaming.
