Lee Know is a South Korean singer and dancer known for serving as the main dancer of the K-pop group Stray Kids. Before his debut, he worked as a professional dancer, including as a backup dancer for BTS during the group's 2017 Wings Tour.

Personal life

Lee Know, whose birth name is Lee Min-ho, is an only child. He has three cats named Soonie, Doongie, and Dori, and his affection for cats is a recurring part of his public image.

In September 2023, Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Seungmin were involved in a car accident. The incident caused the three Stray Kids members to miss their scheduled performance at the Global Citizen Festival, but they sustained no serious injuries.

Professional dancer before Stray Kids

Lee Know began dancing in middle school after seeing a dance video online and trained for five years at Soul-dance Studio. He competed with the dance crew Cupcakes, including at the 2016 World of Dance event, before pursuing work as a professional dancer.

He became a backup dancer for BTS and appeared in the music video for "Not Today". He also performed with the group during its 2017 Wings Tour. While working as a dancer, he decided that he wanted to stand at the center of the stage as a singer.

Lee Know auditioned for JYP Entertainment in 2015 with John Park's "Thought of You". After receiving no immediate response, he continued dancing until JYP contacted him again two years later. He joined the agency in 2017 and became the last member to enter the future Stray Kids lineup.

Stray Kids debut and DanceRacha

Lee Know participated in the 2017 survival show Stray Kids, where he was eliminated in the fourth episode after making mistakes while rapping. He returned later in the program, and audience support helped secure the nine-member lineup's debut. Stray Kids released the pre-debut EP Mixtape in January 2018 and officially debuted with I Am Not in March 2018.

Within Stray Kids, Lee Know is known primarily as a main dancer and vocalist, with occasional rap parts. He forms the group's DanceRacha performance unit with Hyunjin and Felix, and his professional experience has led him to help members learn choreography during rehearsals.

His dance style is associated with clean technique, precise isolations, sharp timing, and controlled movement. He choreographed the 2019 dance performance "Dawn" and has also received attention for his falsetto singing and his ability to move between vocal and rap parts.

Solo songs, songwriting, and television

Lee Know has released solo and collaborative material through Stray Kids' SKZ-Record and SKZ-Player projects. His contributions include the dance performance "Dawn", the solo song "Limbo", the collaboration "Drive" with Bang Chan, the duet "Want So Bad" with Han, and a cover of DAY6's "Love Me or Leave Me".

He participated in writing the solo song "Youth", which appeared on Stray Kids' HOP, and contributed to "Start!" with Seungmin and I.N for the Resident Playbook soundtrack. His other songwriting credits include Stray Kids songs such as "Surfin'", "Taste", and "Waiting for Us".

Lee Know also worked as a television presenter. He was a special MC on Show Champion and served as a regular host of Show! Music Core with Jungwoo from 2021 to 2023. He was nominated with his co-hosts for the 2021 MBC Entertainment Awards Rookie Award and appeared on programs including The Fishermen and the City, Idol Dictation Contest, and The Best Cooking Secrets.

Fashion and philanthropy

Lee Know's fashion work has included magazine covers, photo shoots, and appearances at international fashion events. He made his Met Gala debut with Stray Kids as a guest of Tommy Hilfiger in 2024 and attended Tommy Hilfiger's Spring-Summer 2025 show during New York Fashion Week with Felix.

Gucci appointed Lee Know as a global brand ambassador in 2025. He had previously attended the brand's Cruise 2025 fashion show in London and later represented Gucci in campaigns and fashion editorials.
