Collins began dating YouTuber Caleb Phelps, known online as Oompaville, in 2023. The couple later launched collaborative projects together and married in April 2025.

Prior to her relationship with Phelps, Collins dated her former partner Aaron Brown for six years after meeting at a barbecue in 2015. In late 2021, she announced that the two had parted ways amicably.

Collins has spoken openly with her audience about personal topics, including her experiences with mental health. In an October 2021 video, she addressed her sexuality, describing herself as pansexual. In April 2023, Collins revealed that privacy violations and stalking incidents, including unauthorized drones flying over her property and individuals approaching her residence, forced her to relocate for her personal safety.

Kristina Lee Halliwell Collins was born on July 1, 1996, in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. She grew up in a conservative household as the second-oldest of five siblings. Finding herself seeking attention in a large family, Collins developed an interest in humor and aspired to pursue stand-up comedy from an early age.

At age 14, Collins launched a house-cleaning business that she operated until she was 23. She briefly studied to become a teacher at the University of the Fraser Valley before leaving to pursue cosmetology. After completing her training at the Vancouver Hair Academy South Surrey in 2017, she worked as a professional hairdresser in Vancouver and styled hair on television productions, including the drama series Riverdale.

In April 2020, Collins stepped away from hairdressing due to the closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Encouraged by her brother, she registered a TikTok account on April 9, 2020, and published her first video, a lip-sync sketch referencing the comedy film Step Brothers.

While her initial posts drew from family stories and lip-syncing trends, Collins soon shifted toward creating scripted comedy sketches where she portrayed multiple characters in rapid dialogue. Her recurring personas gained significant followings, notably a Boston man named Chad, a weary mother, a vampire-obsessed adolescent, and a toddler with miniature hands. As her audience expanded, fans campaigned for Red Bull to sponsor her, prompting the company to grant her a lifetime supply of the beverage and fly her to a British Columbia mountain summit to celebrate reaching ten million followers.

Collins expanded beyond short-form comedy into mainstream acting and production. She appeared as a YMCA group leader in the revival of the sketch comedy series Kids in the Hall in 2022 and played Lady Spigh in Steven He's six-episode comedy web series Ginormo! in 2023. She also appeared in the official music video for Nickelback's single "San Quentin" in 2022 and joined the band on stage to perform their hit "Rockstar" in Sayreville, New Jersey. In 2023, she served as a presenter at the Juno Awards during Nickelback's induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

In 2023, Collins established the apparel line Otto By Kris. She also partnered with Caleb Phelps to establish the candy company and channel SourBoys, and launched the collaborative channel Can't Sleep with content creator Celina Myers. Collins made her feature directorial debut with the 2025 found-footage horror film House on Eden, which she produced, co-wrote, and starred in alongside Myers and Jason-Christopher Mayer. The film was acquired by RLJE Films and Shudder for theatrical distribution.
