Bunnie was born in Houston, Texas, to William "Bill" Carter and Vanessa Kaye Anderson. Her mother left when she was three months old. They reconnected 22 years later, meeting only twice before Anderson died in November 2022. Bunnie grew up primarily in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she faced legal troubles and struggled with substance abuse throughout her early adulthood. She was arrested seven times between the ages of 19 and 26. In 2017, she chose sobriety from alcohol, cocaine, and prescription pills.

She met musician Jelly Roll (Jason DeFord) in August 2015 while attending his concert at the Las Vegas Country Saloon. At the time, he was broke and living out of a conversion van. The pair bonded quickly. In August 2016, Jelly Roll proposed to her onstage at a concert in Las Vegas, and they eloped at a courthouse chapel that same night. They briefly separated in 2018 following infidelity on his part, but reconciled later that year. On August 31, 2023, the couple renewed their vows in the same Las Vegas chapel where they first wed.

During their marriage, Bunnie helped raise Jelly Roll's two children from previous relationships, Bailee Ann and Noah Buddy. In 2017, she paid for the legal representation that secured Jelly Roll primary custody of Bailee. The couple later explored in vitro fertilization and surrogacy options to expand their family. In May 2026, Jelly Roll filed for divorce after nearly ten years of marriage, citing a mutual split, and the divorce was finalized in July 2026.

The show features long-form, comedic interviews with guests across music, pop culture, and social media. Alysia Magen was her debut guest. Guests have included Dolly Parton, Miranda Lambert, Jon Bon Jovi, Machine Gun Kelly, and Wiz Khalifa.

The podcast airs on audio streaming services, Kick, and her YouTube channel. Alongside interviews, Bunnie produced the behind-the-scenes series Meet The DeFords, documenting life inside an entertainment family. She has also appeared as a model in print publications, Playboy TV segments, and several music videos, including Jelly Roll's "Wheels Fall Off" and the 2024 collaboration "Lonely Road" alongside Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox.

In 2026, Bunnie released her debut book, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic. The memoir documents her childhood trauma, her time working in the Las Vegas escort industry, her arrests, and her road to sobriety. She also detailed supporting Jelly Roll's music career and their marriage. To promote the book, she launched a nationwide speaking and book tour.
