Hailie Jade Scott

Hailie became part of Eminem's public story at an early age. He first rapped about her in the 1998 track "97 Bonnie and Clyde" from The Slim Shady EP, and later referenced her in songs including "Mockingbird," "When I'm Gone," "Castle" and "Arose."

At six years and 210 days old, she was credited as the youngest performer on an R&B song after appearing with Eminem on "My Dad's Gone Crazy" in 2002. Her childhood voice also appeared occasionally on her father's recordings when she visited his studio.

Hailie graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Township, Michigan, in 2014. She graduated summa cum laude and participated in the National Honor Society, student council, Key Club, art club and volleyball. She was also named homecoming queen at the school in 2014.

She later graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in psychology and a 3.9 GPA. During an interview at her high school, she identified Eminem and her mother, Kimberly "Kim" Scott, as the people who had most influenced her life and supported her ambitions.

Hailie launched Just a Little Shady in summer 2022. Her longtime friend Brittany Ednie co-hosted the podcast's first episode, which focused on Hailie's experience growing up as the daughter of a rap icon.

The podcast has also featured family conversations. In February 2023, Hailie interviewed Nate Mathers, Eminem's younger brother, whom she calls her "bruncle" because she considers him more like a brother than an uncle. In May 2023, she introduced a clothing and merchandise line connected to the podcast, including hats and T-shirts.

Hailie met Evan McClintock at Michigan State University in 2016. They dated for six years before becoming engaged on Feb. 4, 2023. During a December 2022 birthday celebration, McClintock asked Eminem for his blessing before proposing.

Hailie married McClintock in May 2024. They announced their first pregnancy in October 2024, with Eminem's music video for "Temporary" featuring Hailie giving her father a jersey reading "grandpa" and a sonogram. Their son, Elliot Marshall, was born on March 14, 2025, three weeks before his due date.

Hailie has described herself as close to both Eminem and Kim Scott. Her siblings include Alaina Marie Scott, whom Eminem legally adopted, and Stevie Laine Scott, whom Eminem also adopted.
