Beomgyu

Choi Beom-gyu was born in Daegu, South Korea. During his youth, he developed an interest in rock music and played electric guitar in a local band. He attended Hanlim Multi Art School in Seoul, where he studied practical dance and music performance, later graduating in 2021.

A casting manager from Big Hit Entertainment scouted him in Daegu while he was a high school student. He initially declined to travel to Seoul for an audition due to his school examination schedule, which led the casting manager to return to Daegu the following day to conduct an audition locally. After playing the guitar and singing for the casting team, he was accepted as a trainee.

In January 2019, Beomgyu was revealed as the fifth and final member of Tomorrow X Together. The group made their official debut on March 4, 2019, with the extended play The Dream Chapter: Star, which reached number one on the Gaon Album Chart and the Billboard World Albums Chart.

Over the course of the group's releases, Beomgyu took on increasing creative responsibilities. His first official composition and production credit came on the 2020 track "Maze in the Mirror" from The Dream Chapter: Eternity. He subsequently earned songwriting, composing, and producing credits on songs such as "Thursday's Child Has Far To Go", "What If I Had Been That Puma", "No Rules", "Blue Spring", and "Take My Half".

Beomgyu made his first solo television appearance in 2021 as a cast member on the JTBC variety series Bistro Shigor. Beginning in January 2023, he hosted his own personal radio format, Beomdio, broadcast via Weverse Live, which concluded its second run with an offline episode at Hansung University.

In April 2024, he became the host of the web series Workout Zzang on Mdromeda Studio's YouTube channel, tackling various athletic challenges across two seasons. On March 27, 2025, he made his solo music debut with the single "Panic", contributing to both the songwriting and production of the track.

In October 2023, makeup brand Coralhaze selected Beomgyu as its brand ambassador and model in South Korea and Japan, fronting campaigns for products including the Glowlock Jelly Tint. He has also appeared in editorials and covers for fashion publications such as Marie Claire Korea, GQ Korea, Elle Korea, and Japan's VOCE.

Beomgyu has made recurring charitable contributions, donating 30 million won to the Community Chest of Korea on his birthday in both 2024 and 2025 to aid children and adolescents facing psychological difficulties. In October 2024, he also participated in W Korea's "Love Your W" charity event in support of breast cancer awareness.
