YoungBoy Never Broke Again, also known as NBA YoungBoy and Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, is an American rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is known for beginning his music career at a young age, releasing the mixtape Life Before Fame at 16, and collaborating with Tyler, the Creator on "WUSYANAME."

Music career

Gaulden wrote his first song in the fourth grade and began recording music at 14 with a microphone purchased from Wal-Mart. He released his debut mixtape, Life Before Fame, in 2015, when he was 16.

His music is characterized by raw, unfiltered narratives. He has released numerous albums and singles and became a prominent figure in hip-hop.

Collaborations with Tyler, the Creator

YoungBoy Never Broke Again collaborated with Tyler, the Creator on "WUSYANAME," which was released on June 22, 2021. The song served as the second single from Tyler's album Call Me If You Get Lost and also features Ty Dolla $ign.

The collaboration brought together YoungBoy Never Broke Again's and Tyler, the Creator's contrasting styles. Tyler described YoungBoy as a "sweetheart" after working with him.
