Sienna Spiro

Spiro was born in London to Arabella and Glenn Spiro, a jeweller whose clients include Jay-Z and Beyoncé. She grew up in a Jewish household with three siblings. Music came early. At age 10, she wrote her first song, "Lady in the Mirror", and performed her first gig at a pub near Heathrow Airport. Her father introduced her to Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone and classic soul records.

She attended Francis Holland School in Sloane Square before enrolling at East London Arts & Music. School did not hold her for long. After posting a cover of Finneas's "Break My Heart Again" on TikTok on her first day of classes, she drew interest from music managers and dropped out at 16 to write and record full-time.

Spiro built an online audience through stripped-down vocal videos on TikTok. In May 2024, she released her debut single, "Need Me". Her follow-up track, "Maybe", entered the UK Singles Chart later that summer at number 45. By early 2025, she had issued her debut extended play, Sink Now, Swim Later, which collected her early singles alongside new tracks like "Butterfly Effect".

Her breakthrough arrived in October 2025 with "Die on This Hill". Written with Michael Pollack and Omer Fedi, the ballad addressed the exhaustion of remaining in a painful relationship. She recorded several fast-paced drafts before Fedi urged her to track it live in one room with only Pollack on piano. The stripped take became the final record. It reached number 9 on the UK Singles Chart, entered the Billboard Hot 100 top 20, and earned a nomination for the Critics' Choice prize at the 2026 Brit Awards.

Following "Die on This Hill", Spiro signed a publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing. She joined Teddy Swims on tour in 2025 and performed live duets of "Lay Me Down" and "Die on This Hill" with Sam Smith. In May 2026, she sang "Nature Boy" at the Royal Albert Hall during a tribute concert for broadcaster David Attenborough's 100th birthday.

Her debut studio album, Visitor, arrived on 3 July 2026 on Capitol Records. The record yielded chart entries across Europe and North America, including the title track, "Great Expectation", and "Material Lover", which appeared on the soundtrack for The Devil Wears Prada 2. To support the album, she launched the My House World Tour across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

Spiro's sound merges contemporary pop with traditional jazz and soul. She credits vocalists such as Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Barbra Streisand, and Nancy Sinatra as key influences. In the studio, she prefers tracking vocals in single takes with live instrumentation. Mistakes remain in the mix.

Her visual style draws heavily from 1960s fashion. On stage and television, she often pairs high bouffant hairstyles with vintage paper or box dresses, including outfits printed with archival images of Johnny Carson and the Beatles.
