Olive Abercrombie

Abercrombie was cast in The Haunting of Hill House in 2017, with Mike Flanagan directing the Paramount, Amblin, and Netflix production. She played Abigail Crain, a role credited under her alternative name, Olive Elise Abercrombie.

The horror miniseries became her first major screen breakthrough. She appeared alongside Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, and Henry Thomas, and is credited in five episodes.

In Plan B's television series Outer Range, Abercrombie played Amy Abbott, a horse-riding and adventurous character. Her performance placed her in the series alongside Josh Brolin.

The role expanded her work from horror into a science-fiction western drama. She is credited with appearing in multiple episodes of the series.

Abercrombie portrayed young Gertrude Ederle in the Disney biographical film Young Woman and the Sea. Daisy Ridley played the adult version of Ederle.

The film presented Abercrombie in a historical drama role following her television work in The Haunting of Hill House and Outer Range.

Abercrombie played Daphne Mayfair in AMC's Mayfair Witches, appearing in seven episodes. She was also associated with the show's planned continuation in its second season.

She portrayed Valerie in the fifth season of Stranger Things, appearing in five episodes. Her other screen credits include Rebecca McNider in Stargirl, Avery Maclaren in The Other Zoey, Blair in Oracle, and Bethany in Midnight in the Switchgrass.

Outside acting, Abercrombie sings and plays guitar and piano. She also draws, animates, and voices stories and character pieces for her YouTube account.

In 2024, she performed in a Christmas concert at Carnegie Hall with her choir. The concert was conducted by composer Eric Whitacre, and she has also studied improv comedy with a teen troupe in Atlanta.
