Jenna Marbles

Jenna Marbles married fellow YouTuber Julien Solomita in 2022 after their engagement in 2021. Solomita also worked with her on their joint podcast and Twitch streams, which were placed on hiatus after Marbles left YouTube.

Marbles has been associated with several dogs, including Mr. Marbles, Kermit, Peach and Bunny. Her dogs were included in photographs from her wedding, and she is also known for following a vegan lifestyle.

Marbles began her YouTube channel in 2010 after working in several jobs and writing for StoolLaLa, a female-oriented site connected to Barstool Sports. Her first major hit, "How to Trick People Into Thinking You're Good Looking," attracted about 5.3 million views in its first week and eventually surpassed 70 million views.

Her comedy videos combined satirical skits, self-deprecating humor and occasional beauty tutorials. "How to Avoid Talking to People You Don't Want to Talk To" was featured by The New York Times and ABC News in 2011. At the height of her channel's popularity, she had more than 20 million subscribers and accumulated more than a billion views.

Marbles appeared as Eve in the Epic Rap Battles of History episode "Adam vs. Eve" and had appearances in Annoying Orange, Ridiculousness and Smosh: The Movie. She also appeared alongside Brittany Furlan and Bart Baker in Pitbull's "Fireball" music video.

In 2013, she released Kermie Worm and Mr. Marbles, a line of dog toys modeled on her pets. She hosted the weekly SiriusXM Hits 1 countdown YouTube 15 and became an executive producer of Maximum Ride, a film based on James Patterson's novels. In 2015, she unveiled a wax figure of herself at Madame Tussauds New York alongside Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox.

On June 25, 2020, Marbles uploaded an 11-minute video titled "A Message" in which she apologized for offensive material in several older videos. She addressed an imitation of Nicki Minaj, content involving offensive language and costuming toward Asians, and derogatory comments about sexually promiscuous women.

Marbles said she had disabled many of the videos and announced that she was stepping away from her channel. Julien Solomita subsequently announced that their joint podcast and Twitch streams would also enter an indefinite hiatus. Her departure followed a decade in which her channel had become a major part of YouTube's early creator culture.

Marbles won the 2014 Streamy Award for Best First Person Series and the 2014 Young Hollywood Award for Viral Superstar. She also won the 2017 Shorty Award for YouTube Ensemble with Julien Solomita.

Her other nominations included Streamy Awards for Comedy, Best Comedy Series and Audience Choice Creator of the Year, as well as the Shorty Award for Creator of the Decade and a Teen Choice Award for Choice YouTuber.
