Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria is the youngest of four daughters of Ella Eva Mireles, a special education teacher, and Enrique Longoria Jr., a rancher. She grew up in a Mexican-American family on a ranch near Corpus Christi, Texas, and was raised Roman Catholic. Her sister has intellectual disabilities, an experience that later inspired Longoria's charitable work.

Longoria was married to actor Tyler Christopher from 2002 to 2004 and to basketball player Tony Parker from 2007 until their divorce was finalized in 2011. She has been married to Mexican businessman José Antonio Bastón since 2016. They have one son, Santiago Enrique Bastón, who was born in 2018. Longoria later said that she and her family split their time between Mexico and Spain.

Longoria began appearing on television with guest roles in Beverly Hills, 90210 and General Hospital. She joined The Young and the Restless in 2001 as Isabella Braña, a role that earned her the ALMA Award for Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama in 2002.

Her breakthrough came in 2004 when she was cast as Gabrielle Solis on ABC's Desperate Housewives. The ensemble series made her internationally known, and she received two Screen Actors Guild Awards with the cast. She also earned a Golden Globe nomination for her performance and won a People's Choice Award and a Teen Choice Award connected to the series.

Longoria expanded into film with appearances in Harsh Times, The Sentinel, The Heartbreak Kid, Frontera, Lowriders, Overboard, and Dora and the Lost City of Gold. She later appeared in Only Murders in the Building and Land of Women.

In 2005, Longoria founded UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, a film and television production company. She executive produced Devious Maids, Telenovela, The Harvest, and Food Chains, and starred in Telenovela as a popular telenovela actress. Her work on Food Chains received a James Beard Foundation Award.

Longoria directed episodes of Devious Maids, Jane the Virgin, Black-ish, The Mick, Grand Hotel, Why Women Kill, and Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love. She made her feature-length directing debut with Flamin' Hot in 2023, a film that received recognition for both its direction and production. In 2023, UnbeliEVAble Entertainment was acquired by Hyphenate Media Group, which Longoria co-founded with Cris Abrego.

Longoria founded Eva's Heroes in 2006 to provide support and enrichment opportunities for young adults with developmental disabilities. She also founded the Eva Longoria Foundation, which helps Latinas pursue education, attend college, and develop careers and businesses. The foundation offers parent-engagement courses, mentorship, career training, and support for Latina entrepreneurs.

She has served as the national spokesperson for PADRES Contra El Cancer and supported the Coalition of Immokalee Workers. Through The Harvest and Food Chains, she helped draw attention to child migrant farm workers and agricultural labor conditions. The Hollywood Reporter named her Philanthropist of the Year in 2009.

Longoria has also been active in Democratic politics and immigration advocacy. She co-chaired Barack Obama's 2012 reelection campaign, spoke at Democratic National Conventions in 2012, 2016, and 2024, hosted the first night of the 2020 convention, and founded the Latino Victory Project in 2014.
