Desi Johnson

Johnson has a sister named Ryley. In January 2022, she introduced her dog in a TikTok video.

She was raised on the Gold Coast after moving there from Miles, Queensland, at the age of two.

Johnson began taking an interest in sport at nine, when her mother enrolled her in the Little Athletics program in Ashmore. She became a junior sprinter and made an Australian national team at 12. She also played Australian rules football and netball during her school years, including a period on a national netball team.

After injuries affected her athletics career, Johnson switched to bobsleigh in 2023. She competes as a brakewoman and has trained at Queensland Academy of Sport facilities in Brisbane, including alongside bobsledder Bree Walker.

Johnson competed in the two-woman event at the 2025-26 Bobsleigh World Cup in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, where she placed 23rd. She was named to Australia's team for the 2026 Winter Olympics and competed in the two-woman event with Sarah Blizzard.

Johnson posted her first TikTok in December 2020, featuring herself making a protein shake. Her TikTok account, desijohnsonn, is known for vlogs, bodybuilding, nutrition, fitness, modelling, and lifestyle content, and has accumulated more than 35 million likes.

She also creates videos for Instagram and YouTube about her sporting journey, lifestyle, workouts, and training. Her Instagram account has more than 1.4 million followers.
