Bron Breakker

Breakker was in a relationship with fellow WWE wrestler Izzi Dame in October 2024. He began dating wrestler Cora Jade in 2022, and the relationship later ended.

His father is professional wrestler Rick Steiner, and his uncle is Scott Steiner. Rick and Scott Steiner performed together as the Steiner Brothers.

Using his real name, Bronson Rechsteiner attended Etowah High School in Woodstock, Georgia, where he played football and earned varsity letters in three years. He also competed in amateur wrestling and won the Georgia Class AAAAAA state championship in the 220-pound weight class in 2016.

Rechsteiner studied criminal justice at Kennesaw State University and played football for the Kennesaw State Owls. He entered the 2020 NFL Draft but was not selected, then signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free-agent fullback in April 2020. The Ravens released him in August of that year.

Rechsteiner made his professional wrestling debut in 2016 and returned to the ring in 2020. He signed with WWE in February 2021, trained at the WWE Performance Center and adopted the ring name Bron Breakker. He made his televised NXT in-ring debut on September 14, 2021, defeating LA Knight.

At NXT New Year's Evil in January 2022, Breakker defeated Tommaso Ciampa to win his first NXT Championship. He regained the title from Dolph Ziggler in April 2022 and held it for 362 days before losing to Carmelo Hayes at NXT Stand & Deliver in April 2023. In September 2022, Breakker defeated Tyler Bate to unify the NXT Championship and NXT United Kingdom Championship. He later won the NXT Tag Team Championship and the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with Baron Corbin.

Breakker joined WWE's SmackDown brand in February 2024 and was drafted to Raw later that year. He defeated Sami Zayn at SummerSlam in August 2024 to win the Intercontinental Championship, lost the title to Jey Uso in September, and regained it from Uso in October. He successfully defended the championship against Ludwig Kaiser and Sheamus at Survivor Series: WarGames before losing it to Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 41 in 2025.

In April 2025, Breakker aligned with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman, later becoming part of The Vision alongside Rollins and Bronson Reed. Breakker and Reed defeated The Usos at Wrestlepalooza, and Breakker later turned on Rollins and helped exile him from the group. He is also associated with Austin Theory as a World Tag Team Championship partner.

Breakker uses a powerhouse wrestling style built around explosive speed and strength. His signature and finishing moves include the spear, the gorilla press powerslam and the Steiner Recliner, a camel clutch adopted from his uncle Scott Steiner.

He appeared as a playable fullback for the Baltimore Ravens in Madden NFL 21. As Bron Breakker, he also appeared in WWE 2K23, WWE 2K24, WWE 2K25 and WWE 2K26, and featured in an Intuit commercial in 2025.

Breakker has won the NXT Championship twice, the WWE Intercontinental Championship twice and the NXT Tag Team Championship once with Baron Corbin. He has also won the World Tag Team Championship with Austin Theory and the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with Corbin.

Readers of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter voted him Rookie of the Year for 2022. ESPN ranked him sixth on its 2023 list of the 30 best professional wrestlers under 30, while Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked him 24th in its 2025 PWI 500.
