Efrem Jamaar Blackwell Jr. grew up on the north side of Flint with his mother, sister, and two brothers. His parents were separated, though he remained close with his father, who took him on fishing and hunting trips. He graduated from Atherton High School.

Blackwell became interested in hip-hop during his early teens. He listened to artists including YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Lil Baby, Cash Kidd, Rio Da Yung OG, Sada Baby, and Tee Grizzley. A friend encouraged him to record for the first time in 2021, and the positive response led him to pursue rap more seriously. He released his debut single, "Invest," that year.

Babyfxce E is known for a rapid, punchline-heavy flow, unpredictable melodies, and a style that moves between lyrical songs and more melodic, vibe-focused tracks. He has cited Lil Baby, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, NoCap, and Michigan rap as influences.

His early breakthrough came with "Six Flags" in 2022. The song helped establish his profile online and led to the mixtapes Life of The Reaper and Its Wit a X. "D Rose," from Its Wit a X, became one of his most visible songs, while tracks such as "Master P," "Last Laugh," "Hypebeast," and "12:45 in Detroit" extended his momentum into 2023. He also appeared on BabyTron's "Waffle House," a collaboration that connected him with another prominent Michigan rapper.

Babyfxce E released the self-produced mixtapes Life of The Reaper in April 2022 and Its Wit a X in September 2022. He followed them with The X Tape in 2023, Real Striker Music in 2024, and M Block in 2025. The latter projects were released through Atlantic Records after he signed with the label in 2024.

His debut studio album, Da Realest, was released on February 20, 2026. The project includes tracks such as "Trackhawk," "Die Bout It" featuring Rio Da Yung OG, "Blackout," and "Real Flex." He has also worked with RMC Mike, KrispyLife Kidd, Louie Ray, BFB Da Packman, and YSR Gramz on "Flint Flow," and with 1up Tee and Tay B on additional singles.

Babyfxce E has opened on tours for Babyface Ray, BabyTron, and Luh Tyler. These appearances expanded his live profile while he developed a catalog centered on Flint and Michigan rap.

He performed at Billboard House during SXSW 2026 and launched the Da Realest Tour in 2026. His work was also recognized through selections for Billboard's "15 Artists to Watch," Complex's "26 Rappers to Watch," and the 2026 XXL Freshman Class.
