Zolee Griggs

Griggs was raised in Los Angeles, California, with her older brother Nate and younger siblings Cameron and Noah. She was exposed to public speaking through church performances, which led to school plays and other performances.

She starred in her first commercial by age 4. Her early experiences performing in Los Angeles preceded her work in television and film.

Griggs began acting at a young age and had a recurring role as a child performer in Disney's Cory in the House between 2007 and 2008. She also appeared in the television movies Back When We Were Grownups and Soccer Moms.

Her best-known television role is Shurrie Diggs in Hulu's Wu-Tang: An American Saga, in which she appeared across 30 episodes from 2019 to 2023. Shurrie is the sister of RZA, and Griggs worked with Ashton Sanders, who played RZA. She described bonding with Sanders over their shared Los Angeles background and their on-screen family relationship.

Griggs played Indigo in the action film Archenemy, her first major action role. She worked with a stunt coordinator on stunts, weapons, choreography, and harness work. Her other screen credits include Bit, The Enforcer, Boomerang, Ballers, Adam Ruins Everything, and an episode of Elsbeth.

Griggs first gained a wider online audience through her self-titled YouTube channel, where she shared vlogs, makeup routines, hair tips, and fashion content. She also created the fashion blog TheOutfitt on Tumblr after returning from a trip to Europe, using it to showcase her style and encourage others to develop their own.

At age 16, she expanded her interest in beauty and fashion through TheOutfitt. Her online work led to fashion-related collaborations with brands including Marc Jacobs, Uggs, and Laura Mercier, and she co-hosted NUFD.

Griggs founded GRL2WMN, a women's mentorship program inspired by her experience in the Sister Circle mentorship program. The initiative paired high-school girls with middle-school girls and was intended to help young women navigate their development and life beyond school. She also discussed plans for workshops and more interactive programming.
