Trish Stratus

Trish Stratus married her high school sweetheart, Ron Fisico, on September 30, 2006. They have two children, a son named Maximus, born in 2013, and a daughter named Madison, born in 2017.

Wrestler Amy Dumas, known professionally as Lita, is Maximus's godmother. Stratus has also supported charities including Ronald McDonald House, Dreams Take Flight and the Special Olympics.

Stratus studied biology and kinesiology at York University and played soccer and field hockey. A faculty strike in 1997 disrupted her plans, after which she worked as a receptionist at a local gym. A test shoot led to a fitness-modelling contract with MuscleMag International, including a cover appearance in May 1998.

Her modelling work brought her to the attention of the World Wrestling Federation. She signed a multi-year contract in November 1999 and trained with Ron Hutchison and Fit Finlay. She debuted under the ring name Trish Stratus on Sunday Night Heat in March 2000, initially managing the tag team T & A, formed by Test and Albert, and also managing Val Venis.

Stratus developed from a manager into a regular in-ring performer, making her wrestling debut in a tag team match involving T & A against the Hardy Boyz and Lita. She won the WWF Women's Championship for the first time at Survivor Series in 2001 and later captured the WWE Hardcore Championship in May 2002.

Her major rivalries included Lita, Molly Holly, Victoria, Jazz and Mickie James. She won her seventh Women's Championship by defeating Lita at Unforgiven in Toronto on September 17, 2006, using Bret Hart's signature Sharpshooter. She retired from full-time wrestling as champion, and her 448-day sixth reign is recognised as the longest reign by a women's world champion in the 21st century.

After her full-time retirement, Stratus continued to make special WWE appearances. She teamed with John Cena and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi at WrestleMania XXVII in 2011, served as a trainer on WWE Tough Enough, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the 2013 class. She later inducted Lita into the Hall of Fame in 2014.

Stratus returned to the ring for the inaugural women's Royal Rumble in 2018 and teamed with Lita at WWE Evolution later that year. She faced Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2019, then returned for a major storyline with Becky Lynch in 2023. She also appeared at WrestleMania 39 alongside Lita and Lynch against Damage CTRL, and returned to competition in the 2025 Royal Rumble.

Stratus made her film debut as bounty hunter Jules in Bail Enforcers, later released as Bounty Hunters. She played Gina in Gridlocked and Alyssa Strader in Christmas in Rockwell, and was cast as Susan Fanshawe in the action-comedy film Karate Ghost.

Her television work has included hosting The Second City's Next Comedy Legend, starring in the travel series Stratusphere, appearing on Armed & Famous and serving as a judge on Canada's Got Talent from 2022 to 2024. She opened the Stratusphere yoga studio in the Toronto suburbs in 2008 and later operated the Stratusphere Shop online retail platform.
