Toosii

Toosii has a son with Samaria, and the couple announced his birth in June 2022 after announcing that they were expecting their first child in April of that year. Toosii and Samaria became engaged in September 2025.

Toosii has a sister and an older brother. His brother and father inspired him to pursue music.

Toosii began recording music at 16 while playing high school football and later pursued music seriously after moving from Syracuse to Raleigh, North Carolina, at 13. His early releases included the mixtapes Label Me Diverse, Hell on Earth, and Why Not Now. His stage name developed from his childhood nickname, "Toota," and a joke made by his football teammates.

He gained wider attention with the 2019 track "Red Lights" and the Who Dat mixtape. He signed with South Coast Music Group in 2019. His 2020 Platinum Heart mixtape was followed by Poetic Pain, his first studio album on Capitol Records, which reached No. 17 on the Billboard 200. The album included "Love Cycle," a collaboration with Summer Walker that received RIAA certification.

Toosii's 2023 single "Favorite Song" first gained viral attention on TikTok and became his first Billboard Hot 100 entry. It eventually peaked at No. 5 in the United States, with remixes featuring Khalid and Future. The song was certified five-times platinum by the RIAA.

"Favorite Song" helped lead into Naujour, Toosii's second studio album, released in June 2023. The album reached No. 19 on the Billboard 200. His other projects from this period included the EP Boys Don't Cry, its deluxe version Boys Don't Cry: Men Do, and the mixtape Jaded.

In August 2025, Toosii announced that he was pausing his music career to pursue college football. He accepted an offer to play for Syracuse in December 2025.

After a falling out with Syracuse coach Fran Brown, Toosii joined Louisiana State University's football team in March 2026. He left the LSU team in June 2026.
