Tolami Benson

Benson was born in London to Nigerian immigrant parents and grew up in Hertfordshire in a large family. She attended Bishop's Hatfield Girls' School before heading to university. She later settled in a Hertfordshire village with her dogs.

Her relationship with Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka started in 2020. They kept things quiet at first. The public first saw them together at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after England defeated Wales. On November 17, 2025, the pair announced their engagement with a series of black-and-white photos showing her diamond ring.

Benson studied public relations and media at Birmingham City University, graduating with a bachelor's degree. Early on, she worked on the shop floor at Harrods. She soon moved into corporate media planning, taking a position as a senior planning executive at Zenith.

Her work spanned public relations firms and advertising agencies. She built a career behind the scenes while managing an expanding public profile.

Benson established what she termed "sports chic" while attending Saka's matches for Arsenal and England. The look blended sportswear such as team jerseys with high-end designer pieces and high-street tailoring. British Vogue and Who What Wear covered her match outfits, and she soon appeared at London Fashion Week.

Commercial partnerships followed her tournament appearances. After attending the 2024 European Championship, she signed on as a brand ambassador for L'Oréal Paris. She also designed a collaborative clothing line with British retailer River Island, basing the garments on pieces from her personal wardrobe.
