Nick Eh 30

Nicholas Amyoony was raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and developed an interest in video games at a young age, particularly The Last of Us. He attended Prince Andrew High School in Dartmouth, where he earned high grades and participated in taekwondo, guitar lessons, and football.

Amyoony originally aspired to become a doctor and later studied toward a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and immunology at Dalhousie University. He eventually left the university to pursue gaming and streaming full-time. The name Nick Eh 30 combines Nick, the first letter of his last name, a reference to the Canadian use of “Eh,” and the number on his high school football jersey.

Amyoony launched the Nick Eh 30 YouTube channel in December 2014. His early videos focused mainly on The Last of Us, with additional content about Uncharted 4, Resident Evil 7, and other games. His videos included gameplay, funny moments, reactions, gaming tips, and parodies.

In March 2016, PewDiePie selected Nick Eh 30 as one of the creators featured in a shout-out video. The exposure brought at least 9,000 additional subscribers to the channel. Amyoony began streaming professionally in 2017 and started playing Fortnite Battle Royale later that year, a change that preceded a major expansion of his audience.

His father gave him one year to pursue gaming as a career and later became his manager. Amyoony also featured his parents in his content, including a video in which he unboxed his one-million-subscriber YouTube Play Button with them.

In 2018, Nick Eh 30 signed with Creative Artists Agency alongside gaming streamer StoneMountain64. The following year, he moved his Fortnite livestreaming from YouTube to Twitch under an exclusive streaming arrangement while continuing to publish videos on YouTube.

Amyoony was included in the Games category of the 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30 list. In November 2020, he signed with Luminosity Gaming. During that period, he partnered with Epic Games to host the Nick Eh 30 Cup, a Fortnite tournament held in November 2020. He later left Luminosity Gaming in August 2022.

Nick Eh 30 has competed in and hosted Fortnite events. In June 2018, he and One_shot_GURL played against Tfue and Cloakzy in a Friday Fortnite tournament where the teams set a PC squad elimination record of 53. The record was later surpassed by Tfue and his team.

In January 2020, Amyoony competed in the Fortnite Streamer Bowl with Davis Morgan and finished in sixth place. In 2023, he worked with Mainframe Studios on Endurathon, an animated series created with Unreal Engine 5. He also hosted a $50,000 Fortnite Twitch Rivals tournament in August 2023.

On June 11, 2024, Fortnite released a purchasable outfit depicting Nick Eh 30 as part of the game's Icon Series. His family-friendly presentation has remained a central part of his public gaming identity.
