Madeline Argy
Madeline Argy, also known as Madeline Felicity Argy, is an English influencer and TikTok star known for candid storytimes and conversational online content. She gained a large following through TikTok before expanding into YouTube and podcasting. She is the host of Pretty Lonesome with Madeline Argy.
Early life
Madeline Felicity Argy was born in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, and grew up there with her mother, Michaelina “Mikey” Argy, and her older sister, Jessica Argy. Michaelina is a thalidomide survivor and activist who received an MBE for her work supporting survivors and pursuing accountability from the German government.
Argy attended Sackville School in East Grinstead and later studied forensic linguistics at the University of Kent. She graduated in 2022. She has discussed experiencing anxiety and depression during her education, including a period of homeschooling, and has spoken publicly about therapy.
TikTok and YouTube career
Argy created her TikTok account in March 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic and her final year at university. She initially posted lip-sync and other short-form videos before becoming known for storytimes and candid conversations. A video recounting a worm found inside her sister’s leg went viral after she posted it in July 2022, and it had received more than 28 million views by 2024.
After graduating, Argy signed with United Talent Agency. She launched a YouTube channel in 2022, where she posted longer videos about self-help and personal experiences, often speaking from inside her 1996 Vauxhall Astra. Her storytelling style helped her build an audience across TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.
Pretty Lonesome podcast
Argy began hosting Pretty Lonesome with Madeline Argy through Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network in 2023. The podcast extends the conversational style of her social-media work into longer discussions about loneliness, relationships, mental health and everyday experiences.
The first episode premiered on Spotify and Argy’s YouTube channel in October 2023. Her partnership with Cooper’s network marked a move beyond short-form TikTok content and established her as a podcast host as well as a social-media creator.
Public image
Argy’s online identity is built around direct, personal storytelling delivered in a relaxed and conversational style. Her videos frequently combine humor with emotional openness, giving her content the feel of an informal conversation rather than a highly scripted presentation.
Writers have characterized her as an “internet it girl” and highlighted her candid, oversharing approach on TikTok and YouTube. In 2025, she was included in Time magazine’s inaugural TIME100 Creators list in the Entertainers category for her digital storytelling and Pretty Lonesome podcast.
Central Cee relationship
Argy’s relationship with British rapper Central Cee became a significant part of her public profile. The pair’s relationship began in 2022, and Argy confirmed they were dating in a TikTok video with him in September of that year. Central Cee’s 2022 single “Doja” also referenced their relationship.
Argy discussed the breakup during a September 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy. Their relationship was subsequently described as on-again, off-again and continued to attract attention alongside her social-media career.
