From phone recordings to Priority Records
Lil Tony began rapping during the COVID-19 lockdowns after encouragement from a friend, recording his early songs on his phone. His first song, "Pressure," was released on December 2, 2020. He followed with the albums Scorpio Szn in November 2020 and No Opposition in January 2021.
In 2023, he signed with Priority Records. He released "3AM" in July, "Canoozled" in October, and the mixtape 2 Sides 2 Every Story in November. In April 2024, he collaborated with Yhapojj on "SSwerve Geeked," a song from the album P.S. Fuck You.
After a shooting at an Atlanta nightclub in May 2024, rumors circulated that Lil Tony had been killed. He rejected the rumors by responding, "stop it." In September 2025, he was arrested and charged with gun possession.
Born Again and Christian hip-hop
Lil Tony has spoken about wanting to make more positively messaged music and grow closer to Christianity. His album 14 Steps To Success presented songs framed around methods for making money.
He released the Christian hip-hop album Born Again in 2025, followed by a deluxe edition in April. The project features 1900Rugrat and Nino Paid, among others, and was ranked sixth on Billboard's list of the best hip-hop albums of 2025. He later released "Let's Get Into It" and "Answer My Prayers."
