Jon Pardi

Jon Pardi was married to hairdresser Summer Duncan from 2020 until they announced their divorce in 2026. Pardi proposed to Duncan on stage during a concert at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium in October 2019, and they married on November 21, 2020.

The couple had two daughters. Their first daughter, Presley Fawn, was born in February 2023, and their second daughter was born in July 2024.

Pardi grew up in Dixon, California, where his interest in country music was encouraged by his grandmother's karaoke machine. As a child, he listened to singers including George Jones and George Strait, and he performed Garth Brooks's "Friends in Low Places" at his father's birthday party when he was seven.

He began writing songs at 12 and formed a band at 14. After graduating from Dixon High School in 2003, he formed a duo with his friend Chase McGrew. They performed around Dixon and later played with Northern Comfort while attending Butte Junior College in Chico.

Pardi moved to Nashville in 2008 after splitting from McGrew. He worked as a lifeguard while promoting his songs and secured a publishing deal 18 months after arriving in the city.

Capitol Records Nashville signed Pardi and paired him with producer Bart Butler. His debut single, "Missin' You Crazy," appeared in 2012, while "Up All Night" became his first country top-10 hit in 2013. His debut album, Write You a Song, followed in January 2014 and reached number three on Billboard's country albums chart.

Pardi's breakthrough came with California Sunrise, released in 2016. Its lead single, "Head Over Boots," became his first number-one song on the Country Airplay chart. "Dirt on My Boots" followed it to the top and also crossed into the pop top 40.

The success of the two singles helped California Sunrise reach number one on Billboard's country albums chart. The album also produced the singles "Heartache on the Dance Floor," "She Ain't in It," and "Night Shift." Pardi supported Dierks Bentley and Alan Jackson on tour before launching his own Up All Night Tour in late 2014.

Pardi released Heartache Medication in 2019. The title track became a country chart-topper, while "Ain't Always the Cowboy" reached number three on Country Airplay. In the same period, he recorded "My Next Broken Heart" with Brooks & Dunn for the album Reboot and appeared with Laine Hardy on the American Idol finale.

His 2020 cover album, Rancho Fiesta Sessions, was followed by a contribution to The Metallica Blacklist, on which he covered Metallica's "Wherever I May Roam." His fourth studio album, Mr. Saturday Night, arrived in 2022 and reached number five on the country albums chart. Its lead single, "Last Night Lonely," became another major country hit, and "Your Heart or Mine" gave him his sixth career number-one song in 2023.

Pardi was invited to join the Grand Ole Opry at the 2023 Stagecoach Festival by Guy Fieri and Alan Jackson. He was formally inducted on an October 2023 broadcast, becoming the first Californian invited to join the institution.

Pardi's fifth studio album, Honkytonk Hollywood, was released in 2025. Jay Joyce produced the album, marking their first collaboration, and Pardi co-wrote eight of its 17 tracks with songwriters including Luke Laird, Ross Copperman, and Hillary Lindsey.

The album expanded Pardi's established country sound with rock, West Coast influences, grungy bass lines, fuzzed-out fiddles, and multiple guitar parts. Its singles included "Friday Night Heartbreaker" and "Love the Lights Out." Pardi described the project as his "rock and roll record" and his most grown-up album.
