Forrest Frank

Forrest Frank grew up in Fulshear, Texas, in a musical family. His mother, Kerryl Ann Frank, was a worship leader, while his grandmother wrote children's music. He is also the grandson of meteorologist Neil Frank.

Frank attended Houston Christian High School and later Baylor University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in business in 2017. He grew up in a Baptist and non-denominational Christian environment and has described his faith as becoming more deeply established during his sophomore year at Baylor, after attending a worship service at Antioch Church in Waco.

Frank began producing music in high school after seeing someone use a Maschine Micro to make beats. He bought the device, taught himself through experimentation, and continued working on music throughout college. He has also played guitar, piano, and ukulele.

After graduating from Baylor, Frank worked at Abbott Laboratories while continuing to produce music. He has described the period as a long process of consistent practice, learning to finish songs, and developing his craft. He has said that he released more than 140 songs across different projects and that only a small portion of them performed especially well.

Frank founded the duo Surfaces with Colin Padalecki in 2017. The group released albums including Surf, Where the Light Is, Horizons, Pacifico, and Good Morning. Surf helped establish the group and earned more than 70 million Spotify streams.

Frank released his first studio album, Warm, in 2018 under the name Forrest. He followed it with Effortless in 2020, then released Nostalgia Pack, California Cowboy, New Hymns, and A Merry Lofi Christmas in 2023. New Hymns contains 12 songs that combine pop music with traditional hymns.

Frank released the God Is Good EP with Caleb Gordon and the All the Time EP with nobigdyl in 2024. His album Child of God, released in July 2024, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart and was followed by a deluxe edition. He also launched the Child of God Tour with Josiah Queen, Antoine Bradford, and nobigdyl.

The 2025 album Child of God II also reached No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart and reached No. 12 on the Billboard 200. Frank's song "Your Way's Better" topped the Hot Christian Songs chart and entered the Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at No. 61. He later formed the Christian music duo Party Wave with Noah Hayden, and the group released the album Dawn Patrol in 2026.

Frank is primarily a contemporary Christian artist whose music incorporates hip-hop, pop, rock, R&B, and worship. His genre-blending approach developed partly from his desire to create Christian music that would fit settings such as the gym or the beach while retaining a strong spiritual focus.

He creates his music in Logic Pro on a MacBook and has gained attention through songs used on TikTok and Instagram Reels. His song "No Longer Bound" began as a private worship session at the piano, with Frank later recording layered vocals himself and collaborating with Hulvey on a verse. In 2023, Billboard named Frank its No. 1 new Christian artist.

Frank married Grace Quinn on March 31, 2020. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple held a smaller ceremony than originally planned and postponed their wedding reception until May 2021. They have two sons, Bodie and Sonny.

Frank has spoken about placing his family and faith at the center of his life. He has also described his songwriting as an extension of worship, particularly on songs such as "No Longer Bound," which he connected to a personal relationship with God.
