Evan Lamicella

Lamicella was raised in New Jersey in a multicultural family. His mother, Cathy, is Vietnamese, while his father is White American, and Lamicella describes his mixed Vietnamese and White heritage as “Wasian.” He has an older brother named Austin.

He has maintained a connection to Philadelphia, where he has been based while developing his online career. His family background and mixed heritage have also become recurring parts of his public online identity.

Lamicella began his undergraduate studies at Rowan University before transferring to Harvard University in 2018. He completed his studies at Harvard in 2021, combining his education with the early development of his social-media career.

He launched his TikTok channel in October 2019, while he was attending Harvard. The timing made content creation a parallel pursuit during his university years.

Lamicella became known for lively short-form videos featuring lip-syncs, dances, challenges, fitness material, and comedy. His “Wasian” identity and the tagline “Your fav Wasian” have been recurring elements of his public brand.

His TikTok account has attracted more than 1.6 million followers and over 133 million likes. He has also built an Instagram following of more than 430,000 followers through modeling images, fitness posts, and lifestyle content.

Alongside TikTok, Lamicella has pursued modeling and fitness content. His posts include workout routines and other material focused on an athletic lifestyle, with fitness videos inspired in part by creator Allen Ye.

Lamicella also creates gaming content. His YouTube channel, opened in February 2016, has featured short scary videos and games, while he has used Twitch for live video-game streams. He joined Cameo in March 2024, where he offers personalized videos.
