Brandon Aubrey

Aubrey met his wife, Jenn Aubrey, while attending high school. The couple married on January 4, 2019. In 2024, they welcomed their first child, a son named Colton.

He has a brother named Ryan. After his early professional soccer career concluded in 2018, Aubrey used his computer science background from college to work as a software engineer before pursuing American football.

Aubrey played youth soccer with the Dallas Texans SC and competed at Dallas Jesuit High School and Plano Senior High School in Texas. From 2013 to 2016, he played college soccer as a center back for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. During his freshman year in 2013, Notre Dame won the NCAA Division I National Championship. By his senior season in 2016, he earned NSCAA Third Team All-American, First Team All-ACC, and NSCAA Academic All-American honors.

In January 2017, Aubrey was selected in the first round as the 21st overall pick of the MLS SuperDraft by Toronto FC. He spent the 2017 season on loan with the club's reserve side, Toronto FC II, in the USL, making his professional debut against Phoenix Rising FC. In January 2018, he signed with USL club Bethlehem Steel FC, playing one season before being released at the end of the year.

While watching an NFL game on television in 2019, Aubrey was encouraged by his wife to try placekicking after witnessing a missed field goal attempt. From 2019 to 2022, he trained three times a week with former Mississippi State placekicker and kicking coach Brian Egan to develop his technique.

In early 2022, Aubrey was drafted by the Birmingham Stallions in the USFL draft. During the 2022 season, he led the league in field goals made, extra points made, and kickoff distance, earning All-USFL honors and helping the Stallions secure the 2022 USFL championship over the Philadelphia Stars. He returned for the 2023 USFL season, converting 14 of 15 field goals and all 35 extra points to help Birmingham win their second consecutive league title.

Aubrey signed with the Dallas Cowboys in July 2023. During his rookie NFL campaign, he set an NFL record by converting his first 36 consecutive field goal attempts to start a career. In a December 2023 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, he became the first kicker in league history to convert two field goals from 59 yards or longer in a single game. He finished his debut season leading the NFL in scoring, making 36 of 38 field goals, and earned First-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors.

Aubrey continued setting records during subsequent seasons with Dallas. In September 2024, he converted a 65-yard field goal against the Baltimore Ravens, establishing a new franchise long for the Cowboys. In 2025, he became the first kicker in NFL history to make three field goals of 55 yards or more in a single game against the Detroit Lions, while also setting the league mark for career field goals from 60 yards or longer.
