Aryan Simhadri is an American actor and voice actor known for playing Grover Underwood in the Disney+ fantasy series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. He began acting as a child and has worked across television, film, stage productions, and animated projects. His other notable roles include Rohan Kumar in Spin, Haresh Baker in Cheaper by the Dozen, and Walter in Trevor: The Musical.

Early life

Aryan Simhadri was born in Ventura, California, in a Telugu family. His parents migrated from Telangana, India, to the United States, and he is described as Indian-American.

He began pursuing entertainment work as a child after being scouted at age four. His early commercial work included national campaigns for K-Mart and Toyota before he moved into television acting.

Career

Simhadri made his acting debut in 2013 with an appearance on How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life). He later appeared in series including Angie Tribeca, Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything, Teachers, SEAL Team, The Unicorn, and Will & Grace. From 2019 to 2020, he played Norvin Schnuckle in five episodes of Just Roll with It, a series that required its performers to respond to audience choices during scenes.

His feature-film debut came with the supporting role of Riyaz in Netflix's The Main Event in 2020. He then played Rohan Kumar in Spin, his first starring film role, alongside Avantika Vandanapu, Meera Syal, and Abhay Deol. He followed it with the role of Haresh Baker in Disney+'s Cheaper by the Dozen in 2022.

In 2021, Simhadri played Walter in the off-Broadway production of Trevor: The Musical, a filmed performance of which later streamed on Disney+. His major breakthrough came in 2023 when he was cast as Grover Underwood, Percy Jackson's satyr guardian, in Percy Jackson and the Olympians. He stars in the series alongside Walker Scobell and Leah Jeffries.

Simhadri's voice-acting credits include Jimmy Chakravorthy in Clarence, Dhruv Sharma in Mira, Royal Detective, Tiffany in Adventure Time: Distant Lands, Sameer in The Casagrandes, and additional voices in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run. He also voiced Reed in Dew Drop Diaries and appeared as Banky in Adventures in Wonder Park.

His later credits include Jai in Freakier Friday and Manjushri in Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair. In addition to acting, he served as host and producer of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast, which began in 2025.
