Arianna Roberson

Roberson grew up in San Antonio in a family of high-level athletes. Her parents, John and Lisa Roberson, both competed as collegiate All-Americans at New Mexico State. Her mother is white and her father is African-American. Roberson is the youngest of seven children. All six of her older siblings played NCAA Division I sports, including her sister Aaliyah and her brother André Roberson, who played in the NBA.

Roberson has been in a relationship with basketball player Cooper Flagg since 2026. The two met while attending Duke during their freshman year.

At Clark High School in San Antonio, Roberson developed into one of the top basketball recruits in the nation. She guided Clark to the 2023 UIL Class 6A state championship, winning the program's first state title and tournament MVP honors. As a junior, she averaged 15.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks per game.

Her production climbed as a senior. She averaged 18.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks while leading Clark to a 33-3 record. She was selected as a McDonald's All-American and a Nike Hoop Summit participant. She was named Texas Miss Basketball and ranked No. 17 nationally in the 2024 recruiting class by espnW. Beyond basketball, she earned all-district first-team honors across four varsity seasons as a middle blocker in volleyball.

Roberson chose Duke over offers from programs including UConn, Oregon, Southern California, and Utah. Her collegiate debut was delayed by a knee injury that sidelined her for the entire 2024-2025 season. The rehabilitation lasted 440 days.

She returned to the court for the 2025-2026 season and played in 33 games. Roberson averaged 8.0 points and 5.7 rebounds while finishing second on the team with 42 blocked shots. In Atlantic Coast Conference play, her averages rose to 9.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

On January 8, 2026, she scored 20 points in a win against California. A month later, she posted career highs of 22 points and 16 rebounds off the bench against SMU. She also recorded a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double in Duke's second-round NCAA Tournament victory over Baylor. She was named to the 2026 ACC All-Freshman Team.

Roberson debuted internationally in 2024. She represented the United States at the FIBA U18 Women's AmeriCup in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Coming off the bench, she averaged 8.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game as Team USA won the gold medal.

Roberson also joined the American squad for the 2024 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup in Hungary, helping the United States win the tournament.
