Zeke Smith is an American reality television personality, writer, and director known for competing on CBS's Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X and Survivor: Game Changers. He has also created and directed independent comedic projects, including the 2014 miniseries Dealing.

Personal life

Smith is a transgender, gay man who transitioned during his college years. Prior to joining reality television, he shared his history privately with production staff rather than addressing it as an on-air storyline.

He has been married to actor Nico Santos since November 4, 2023.

Survivor

Smith first rose to prominence as a contestant on the reality competition series Survivor. He debuted on season 33, Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X, competing as part of the Millennials tribe and surviving until day 33 of the game.

Following his initial appearance, he returned to Fiji to compete on season 34, Survivor: Game Changers. During that season, his transgender identity became a major subject of discussion after a fellow cast member outed him during tribal council.

Directing and screen credits

Outside of reality programming, Smith has worked extensively in digital comedy and independent film as a director, writer, and actor. In 2014, he wrote, directed, and starred as the character Chesty in the television miniseries Dealing. That same year, he co-directed, wrote, and acted in the short film Dinner for Two, while also appearing in three episodes of Sitters: The Series.

His behind-the-scenes work continued with the 2015 short Sponsor a Gay BFF in Need Today, which he directed and acted in, as well as directing an episode of the comedy web series PITtv. He has also contributed as a writer for the project Wasps!.
