Sol Ruca

Sol Ruca was born Calyx Harmony Hampton. Her father is musician Paul A. Hampton, and her mother is Sandy Brown-Hampton. She has a brother named Coda. Paul A. Hampton has worked with artists including Gwen Stefani, Charles Wright, and John Feldman, and co-founded the production company Dynamic Multimedia Inc.

Her relationship status has been described inconsistently. One account identifies fellow professional wrestler Tyler Bate as her partner from September 2023, while another describes her as single. She has no children.

Hampton graduated from Western Christian High School in Upland, California, in 2017. She studied human physiology at the University of Oregon and competed for the university's acrobatics and tumbling team. Her athletic background included gymnastics, tumbling, and extensive training in body control and movement.

She had no previous professional wrestling experience when WWE recruited her to the Performance Center in 2022. WWE first contacted her through Instagram with an invitation to try out. She initially thought the message might be a prank, but attended the tryout and signed with the company.

Ruca made her in-ring debut at a WWE live event on June 24, 2022, and began appearing on NXT programming soon afterward. Her athletic style quickly became a central part of her presentation. The Sol Snatcher, a springboard frontflip cutter, became her signature move and gained viral attention.

She suffered a ruptured ACL in 2023 and required surgery, returning at NXT: Roadblock on March 5, 2024. After her return, she feuded with Blair Davenport and defeated her twice. Ruca also challenged Kelani Jordan for the NXT Women's North American Championship and wrestled Jordynne Grace in a match that ended in a no-contest.

Ruca formed the tag team ZaRuca with Zaria. The pair competed in WWE and also appeared in matches connected with TNA Wrestling. Ruca later moved from NXT to Raw, where she made her main-roster debut against Liv Morgan.

Ruca won the WWE Women's Speed Championship from Candice LeRae in April 2025. She then won the vacant NXT Women's North American Championship in a six-woman ladder match at NXT Stand & Deliver, making her a double champion.

She captured her first main-roster title by defeating Becky Lynch for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship at Clash in Italy. She has also received the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Rookie of the Year award for 2023 and WWE NXT Year-End Awards for Female Superstar of the Year and Tag Team of the Year with Zaria.
