Scott Mackinlay Hahn

Hahn began his fashion career by working with designer Rogan Gregory, with whom he co-founded the apparel brand Rogan in 2001. In 2004, Hahn and Gregory established Loomstate, a clothing company built around environmentally conscious production and organic materials.

Loomstate became known for minimalist and monochromatic clothing for men and women. The brand uses 100% certified organic cotton and has also produced practical workwear, including uniforms for Chipotle Mexican Grill in 2012. Hahn also co-founded Egun with U2 musician Bono and Bono's wife, Ali Hewson.

Hahn's work extends beyond designing clothes. He heads the Sustainability Steering Committee of the Council of Fashion Designers of America and serves as a board member of the Council for Textile Recycling, roles that connect his fashion career with efforts to reduce waste and promote more responsible production.

He has campaigned against fast fashion and promoted slow, sustainable alternatives. In 2011, he judged the "Trim the Waste of Fashion" competition and took part in discussions about achievable environmental changes within the fashion industry. Loomstate has received the highest possible sustainability rating from Good On You, while Hahn has also used social media to advocate for climate action, clean energy, and women's rights.

Hahn and Winona Ryder crossed paths at the premiere of Black Swan in 2011. Ryder later recalled that Hahn did not recognize her when they met and mistakenly thought she was Milla Jovovich, telling her that she had been great in The Fifth Element.

The pair have kept their relationship largely private while appearing together at selected public events. They attended Tim Burton's opening party at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in May 2011 and later appeared together at premieres, awards ceremonies, and other fashion and entertainment events.
