Sammi Giancola

Giancola began dating bartender Justin May in 2021, and the couple became engaged in March 2024. They welcomed their son, Vincent Keith, in August 2025 and have been married since December 4, 2025.

Before her relationship with May, Giancola was engaged to Christian Biscardi. They began dating in 2017 and became engaged in 2019, but Giancola confirmed their separation in 2021. She also had an on-and-off relationship with Jersey Shore castmate Ronnie Ortiz-Magro during and after the original series.

Giancola joined MTV’s Jersey Shore in 2009 as one of the show’s eight main cast members. Her relationship with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro became one of the series’ central storylines, while her outspoken personality and nickname, “Sammi Sweetheart,” made her one of the show’s recognizable figures. She remained with the original cast through the sixth and final season in 2012.

After Jersey Shore, Giancola appeared on When I Was 17, Silent Library, Snooki & Jwoww, Makeover Manor, and Project Runway. She and her castmates also appeared in the 2012 comedy film The Three Stooges, in which she was credited as Samantha Giancola.

Giancola declined to return for the 2018 launch of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, saying that she wanted to focus on her businesses and relationship and avoid potentially toxic situations. She later returned to the franchise, appearing in seasons six through eight of the revival.

Before joining reality television, Giancola played soccer at William Paterson University, where she majored in sociology. She played midfielder for the William Paterson Pioneers from 2005 to 2009 and made 70 appearances, scoring two goals.

In 2009, she helped William Paterson win the Eastern College Athletic Conference Metro Tournament. Earlier, at Raritan High School, she was a four-year varsity soccer letter winner and also participated in softball and track.

Giancola entered the fragrance business in 2011 as the face of Dangerous, a fragrance marketed for both men and women. She later endorsed Dangerous Desires. In 2012, she launched the fitness clothing line Sexy Sweetheart with SXE Fitness.

She founded the online clothing and accessories brand Sweetheart Styles in 2013. From 2015 to 2017, she co-hosted the Just Sayin podcast with relationship expert Siggy Flicker and television host Clare Galterio.

Giancola opened her Sweetheart Coast boutique on the Ocean City, New Jersey, boardwalk in 2021. A second location at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City opened in 2025.
