Personal life
Berman met fashion stylist Rachel Zoe in 1991 while working as a waiter in Washington, D.C. They married on February 14, 1998, and have two sons, Skyler Morrison Berman and Kaius Jagger Berman.
Berman and Zoe announced their separation in September 2024. Zoe filed for divorce in July 2025.
Leadership at Rachel Zoe, Inc.
Berman has served as president of Rachel Zoe, Inc., where he manages finance, legal matters, employee oversight, business development, and brand strategy. He works with Zoe on the overall direction of the brand, negotiates licensing partnerships, and pursues opportunities to extend the Rachel Zoe name.
His responsibilities have also included leading the growth of the Rachel Zoe Collection and CURATEUR. He serves as co-CEO of both lifestyle brands and oversees the company's investment strategy through Rachel Zoe Venture Partners.
Recognition Media and investment work
Before joining Rachel Zoe's business, Berman worked as an investment banker for eight years. He later co-founded Recognition Media and served as its president. The company owned and produced internet, media, and advertising industry programs and events including the Webby Awards and Internet Week.
