Morgan Brennan

Brennan graduated from New York University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences. She graduated summa cum laude and completed double concentrations in Anthropology and Media Studies.

While at NYU, she founded the university's Culture Club and became a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She is also a member of The Explorers Club.

Brennan began in journalism as an editorial intern at Newsweek International, where she worked as a fact-checker and contributing writer. She joined Forbes in 2009 and worked across Forbes Magazine, ForbesLife Magazine, and Forbes.com as a writer, reporter, video producer, and anchor. Her profile of Equity Group Investments chairman Sam Zell appeared as one of five magazine covers in the 2013 Forbes 400 issue.

She joined CNBC in December 2013 as a general assignment reporter covering business and financial news. She later became a co-anchor of Squawk Alley and Squawk on the Street, and then co-anchored Closing Bell: Overtime. Her reporting has included manufacturing, defense, aerospace, and space industries.

Brennan also hosts CNBC's Manifest Space podcast, which examines developments in the defense, aerospace, and satellite sectors. She launched Morning Call on March 23, 2026, taking the early-morning slot to cover overnight news, market data, and global business developments before U.S. markets opened.

Brennan has been married to Matt Cacciotti since August 6, 2011. Cacciotti works as a stockbroker and entrepreneur and established Gold Street Trading Limited in 2010.

Brennan and Cacciotti have three children. Their daughter was born in 2016, followed by a son in September 2020 and a third child in May 2022.
