Madison Scarpino

Madison Scarpino is the daughter of Tony Scarpino, a Naval Aviator, and Tricia Scarpino. She is the oldest of three siblings, with a brother named Anthony and a sister named Mia.

Because of her father's Navy career, Scarpino moved across the United States every two or three years while growing up. She has described Tampa, Florida, where she attended high school, as the place with which she feels most connected. She has also spoken about her Italian heritage and her friendships with members of Tampa's Cuban community.

Scarpino attended Tampa Catholic High School before enrolling at the University of Mississippi. She graduated from Ole Miss in 2020 with a degree in broadcast journalism.

While at the university, she worked at NewsWatch Ole Miss, the school's student news station. She began as a weather reporter, where live ad-libbing helped her become more comfortable on camera, and later moved toward hard-news and local-news reporting. She has identified the student news station as the place where she developed her passion for journalism.

Scarpino began her professional career in local journalism, including work as a multimedia journalist in Huntsville, Alabama, for WAFF-TV. She also interned at WGNO ABC26 in New Orleans. Her early roles involved reporting, weather coverage, and producing multimedia news content.

She later joined Fox News as a St. Louis-based multimedia reporter in January 2022. Her work included coverage of the 2022 midterm elections, the United Auto Workers strike, and major breaking-news assignments. She also participated in Fox's MMR program, which gave her experience shooting, producing, editing, and reporting stories for the network's platforms.

Scarpino began her national correspondent role at Fox News on December 4, 2023. She is based in the network's Atlanta bureau and contributes live reports to America Reports, Fox News Live, and Fox Report with Jon Scott.

During her time covering national news, she reported from the scenes of mass shootings in Highland Park, Dallas, and Nashville. She has described speaking with residents after those tragedies as one of the most lasting parts of her work. Her reporting has also included coverage of the Titanic submersible tragedy, elections, labor disputes, and other breaking national stories.
