Kira Kosarin

Kosarin has been married to musician Max Chester since July 2024. They became engaged in Greece in July 2023.

Her parents were Broadway performers. Her father, Danny Kosarin, worked as a music director, conductor, and record producer, while her mother was an actress. Kosarin grew up acting, singing, and dancing.

Kosarin made her television debut as Raina Kumar in an episode of the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up. She gained wider recognition in 2013 when she began playing Phoebe Thunderman, a teenage superhero, on Nickelodeon's The Thundermans. The comedy series ran from 2013 to 2018, and she co-starred with Jack Griffo, who played her twin brother Max Thunderman.

She played Ellie Bauer in the Nickelodeon television film One Crazy Cruise in 2015 and reprised Phoebe Thunderman in crossover episodes of The Haunted Hathaways and Henry Danger. Her later television roles included Nadia Dando in Light as a Feather, Aria in Good Trouble, Malia in All About the Washingtons, and Betsy Kelso in That '90s Show.

Kosarin returned as Phoebe in the 2024 film The Thundermans Return. She served as an executive producer on the film and later reprised the character in the sequel series The Thundermans: Undercover, on which she also worked as an executive producer and directed the episode "Prank You, Next." She won the 2025 Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Female TV Star in the Kids category for the series.

Kosarin launched her recording career with the single "Spy" in 2018, followed by songs including "Vinyl," "Love Me Like You Hate Me," "47 Hours," and "Take This Outside." Her debut album, Off Brand, was released independently on April 10, 2019. She also collaborated with DJ Carneyval on the single "Simple."

She released the independently produced EP Songbird in 2020 and the EP Something New in 2022. In March 2022, she signed with Republic Records and released "Mood Ring," her debut single for the label. Her music draws on pop and R&B, and she performs on vocals and guitar.

Kosarin studied ballet at Boca Ballet Theatre, practiced dance and gymnastics, and attended Pine Crest School in Florida. After taking an acting-on-camera workshop, she decided to pursue television acting.

She moved from Florida to Los Angeles in 2011 to develop an acting career and later attended Brighton Hall School in Burbank. Her early performance background included musical theater, shaped in part by her parents' Broadway careers.
