Joy Taylor is an American sports television and radio host known for moderating Skip and Shannon: Undisputed and co-hosting Speak. She has also hosted The Joy Taylor Show on Fox Sports Radio and appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

Personal life

Joy Taylor was married to former professional baseball player Richard Giannotti from 2016 to 2017. She became engaged to former NBA point guard and coach Earl Watson in 2018, but the engagement ended in 2019.

In 2017, Taylor said during an episode of Undisputed that she was a survivor of domestic abuse. Her brother Jason Taylor is a former NFL defensive end who played for the Miami Dolphins and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017. Her nephew Mason Taylor is a tight end for the New York Jets.

From Barry University radio to Miami sports broadcasting

Taylor attended Barry University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in broadcast communications in 2009. While completing her studies, she hosted the university radio show The Noise, worked at WBRY 1640 AM, and eventually became the station's manager. She was also a Division I track sprinter and played soccer and basketball in high school.

She began her professional broadcasting career at 790 AM The Ticket in Miami. During three years at the station, she moved from executive producer to co-host of the Zaslow and Joy Show, its top-rated morning-drive sports program. She also worked with radio professionals including DJ Laz before hosting The Ticket on 104.3 FM.

Fox Sports programs and podcasting

Taylor joined Fox Sports in March 2016 and filled several roles at FS1, including substituting for Kristine Leahy on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. In August 2016, Fox announced that she would moderate Skip and Shannon: Undisputed alongside Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe.

In 2018, Taylor moved from Undisputed to The Herd with Colin Cowherd, which also aired through Fox Sports Radio. Fox Sports announced her Saturday program, The Joy Taylor Show, in 2021, and she began co-hosting Speak with Keyshawn Johnson and Paul Pierce in 2022. She has also hosted Fantasy Football Today and Thursday Night Live for CBSSports.com, presented The Hang on Facebook Live, and hosted the Maybe I'm Crazy podcast.

Screen appearances and later broadcasting work

Taylor is credited as an actress in High Flying Bird and appeared in the sports-related program Herd for the Holidays. Her broadcasting work has also included sports updates and analysis focused on the NFL and NBA.

Fox Sports released Taylor in July 2025. She has been associated with the Thursday Night Football Scouts Feed on Prime Video and has written about sports, entertainment, and lifestyle topics on her website, JoyTaylorTalks.com.
