Hania Aamir is a Pakistani actress known for playing Hala in Mere Humsafar and Sharjeena in Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. She began her screen career with the film Janaan in 2016 and has since worked in Urdu television, Pakistani cinema, and Punjabi-language film.

Childhood and education

Hania Aamir was born in Rawalpindi, Punjab, and comes from a Punjabi-speaking family with roots in Murree. Her parents separated early in her life, and she was raised by a single mother. She has spoken about emotional trauma and financial difficulties during her childhood.

Aamir enrolled at the Foundation for Advancement of Science and Technology (FAST-NUCES). She was studying there when she auditioned for Janaan. She later left college, explaining that she needed to earn money to support her family.

Film debut with Janaan

Aamir made her acting debut in the romantic comedy Janaan (2016), playing Palwasha, the protagonist's cousin. Producer Imran Raza Kazmi approached her after seeing her potential, and the role earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Lux Style Awards.

She followed the film with the comedy Na Maloom Afraad 2 (2017) and appeared in the combat film Parwaaz Hai Junoon (2018), in which she played Sania Taimoor. She also made a special appearance in Load Wedding and appeared in Superstar.

Television roles and breakthrough

Aamir made her television debut in the drama Titli (2017), portraying Naila, a beauty-obsessed and unfaithful wife. The same year, she played Alishba in Phir Wohi Mohabbat, a performance that won the Hum Award for Best Television Sensation Female.

Her subsequent television work included Visaal, Anaa, Ishqiya, Dil Ruba, and Sang-e-Mah. In Anaa (2019), she played Daneen and sang the title track with Sahir Ali Bagga. She gained wider popularity as Hala in Mere Humsafar (2021-2022), followed by roles as Maheer in Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha and Sharjeena in Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum.

Her performance as Sharjeena received positive reviews and won her the Lux Style Award for Best Actress of the Year. She later played Dr. Ayra in Meri Zindagi Hai Tu and appeared as Noor in the Punjabi-language Indian film Sardaar Ji 3, alongside Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa.

Fashion, advertising, and public profile

Alongside acting, Aamir has appeared in fashion campaigns and served as a brand ambassador for companies including Maybelline New York and Sprite. She walked for designer Zainab Chottani at Pakistan Fashion Week in 2019 and has taken part in photoshoots for Eid collections and designers such as Asim Jofa.

In 2022, she was named brand ambassador for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League. She has also appeared in music videos and promotional projects, including the Peshawar Zalmi anthem "Zalmi Yama" and Hadiqa Kiani's "Jani Door Gaye". In 2025, the UK Parliament presented her with a Star of Pakistan recognition award for her contribution to the entertainment industry.
