Leslie Ann Fu was born to Chinese parents and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her parents named her after actress Lesley Ann Warren. She attended Homestead High School in Cupertino, California, and later studied at the University of California, Irvine, where she earned a bachelor's degree in biological sciences in 2014. After graduation, she briefly enrolled in graduate school at the University of California, Los Angeles to pursue teaching, but left the program to commit to full-time live streaming.

Fu was previously in a relationship with former OfflineTV manager Edison Park. Park proposed to her during a live broadcast on April 7, 2019, but the couple announced their separation in late 2021. She later moved into a shared content house in Los Angeles with fellow streamers Valkyrae, Kkatamina, and Yvonnie, a collaborative creator group frequently referred to by fans as the Roomies.

Fu began streaming on Twitch in February 2015 after being introduced to the platform by her roommates. In her early career, she primarily streamed League of Legends and briefly represented professional esports organizations Immortals and Phoenix1. In December 2018, Fu collaborated with streamer BoxBox to launch Streamer Camp, a multi-day training workshop designed to mentor and develop up-and-coming digital creators.

Over the following years, Fu expanded into variety gaming, gaining substantial viewership through multiplayer titles such as Among Us and Valorant. She joined the lifestyle and gaming organization 100 Thieves as a content creator in May 2021. After signing an exclusive streaming contract with YouTube Gaming in September 2022, Fu later transitioned to simulcasting her live streams across both YouTube and Twitch following the expiration of that exclusive agreement.

In March 2021, Fu introduced the character April Fooze on the modded Grand Theft Auto V roleplay server NoPixel. The character gained widespread popularity in the roleplay community, leading Fu to record and release multiple songs in character, including "If You're Broke I'm Busy" and "April's Fool."

Outside of roleplay music, Fu has contributed vocals to several standalone tracks and appeared in broader entertainment projects. In August 2021, she appeared in the music video for "Inferno" by Bella Poarch and Sub Urban. In 2024, she collaborated with Valkyrae and singer Ylona Garcia on the single "Echoes." Her background in singing also led to an appearance in promotional campaigns for the karaoke video game Twitch Sings in 2019.

Fu has participated in multiple competitive and philanthropic broadcasts throughout her career. In June 2020, she competed in the inaugural Chess.com PogChamps tournament, advancing to the consolation bracket quarterfinals. Following the event's popularity, Fu was among more than 40 streamers featured on the cover of the August 2020 issue of Chess Life magazine, and she returned to compete in PogChamps 5 in 2023.

Her philanthropic efforts include partnering with the Anaheim Ducks and the North America Scholastic Esports Federation in March 2019 for an NHL 19 tournament that distributed over $25,000 in scholarships and grants. She has also hosted dedicated charity streams, raising more than $30,000 for Stand Up to Cancer in 2019 and $55,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation in 2021 in partnership with 100 Thieves.
